Informal Worship
Here, everyone is welcome, valued,
and loved by God and each other
as we explore faith and prayer together.
Our 9.15am Informal Worship is just that – informal, intergenerational, and inviting. From the moment you arrive, you’ll find a friendly welcome at the door and space to settle in at your own pace. Some arrive early (from 8.45am) to chat or just ease gently into the morning. Others arrive closer to the start – there’s no “right” way to come, just come as you.

This service is informal not because it lacks reverence, but because it’s shaped with participation, creativity and community in mind. Everything is offered by invitation – take part in the ways that feel right for you. You’ll find people of all ages here, and a whole range of expressions of worship: some sing with hands raised, some sway or dance, and others stand quietly or simply listen. All of it is worship. All of it is welcome.

Our Worship Music
We use contemporary worship songs rather than traditional hymns, seeking to keep our music fresh, relevant, and rooted in today’s faith journey. One way we do this is by introducing a new song each month – we learn it together by singing it weekly, and over time it becomes part of our shared voice. Most weeks, songs are played via music tracks, but on the fourth Sunday of the month, our live worship band leads us with real instruments and real joy!

Led by Many Voices
Our worship is led by a mix of lay and ordained ministers – LLMs, ALMs, and clergy – which brings variety, depth, and fresh perspectives each week. This means no two Sundays are exactly the same, and we love that! On second Sundays, we share an Informal Eucharist using a nave altar, with bread and wine offered simply and meaningfully in the heart of the gathered community.

For All Ages and Stages of Faith
This service is intergenerational, so everyone is included. We all take part together in prayers, readings, reflections, and activities – but always in ways that feel natural and never forced.

After the Service
Once our worship ends (usually around 10.15am), we move into The Tapestry Room for refreshments – often with cake! Some people stay and chat; others slip away quietly. However you choose to end your morning, you’re free to be yourself.

Come As You Are
There’s no dress code – some wear their Sunday best, others come casual. What matters is not what you wear but that you’re here.

If you’re looking for a worshipping space that’s real, relaxed, and rooted in God’s love, this might be just the place for you. We’d love to welcome you.
