St Leonard's Church

Serving the people of Beoley, Church Hill and Abbey Park

At St Leonard’s, we strive to be a church that reflects God’s love for everyone. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, returning to church after some time away, or looking for a community to call home—you are so welcome here.

We know visiting a church for the first time can feel like a big step. So here’s what to expect when you come along.

Our Mission

Here, everyone is welcome, valued, and loved by God and each other as we explore faith and prayer together.

This shapes everything we do—how we worship, how we treat one another, and how we reach out into our local community.

What to Expect

You’ll find a warm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth. People of all ages and backgrounds are part of our church family, and there’s no need to dress up—just come as you are.

We offer a range of worship styles:

  • Sunday mornings at St Leonard’s include both traditional and more informal services. Some have hymns and liturgy, others are more relaxed and interactive.

  • Once a month, we gather at the Willow Trees YMCA Community Centre for Café Worship—a relaxed, family-friendly service with conversation, music, activities, and refreshments.

There’s no pressure to join in with everything. Come, observe, take part in what feels comfortable. You can find out more about each service type under the Worship section in the menu above.

A Place to Belong

We believe church is more than a Sunday—it’s about community, friendship, and making a difference together. Whether you're curious about faith, looking for space to reflect, or simply hoping to meet kind people—you’ll find a place here.

If you have any questions during your visit, just ask. Our welcome team and regulars are always happy to chat or help you find your way.
