ALM TRAINING Now is the time to register for the new Authorised Lay Ministry Training. There are several courses available including, Pastoral, Evangelist, Worship Leader, Children’s and Youth Worker and Administrator. If you feel that God is calling you to any of these areas of work within the church – then please speak to either Norma Walters or Julie Humphries. |
| INTERCESSIONS TRAINING The number of people willing to do intercessions at our services has dropped significantly. If anyone is interested in leading intercessions but feels they would like some training – please let either Norma Walters or Julie Humphries know – as we are thinking of leading an intercessions workshop specifically for new people wanting to offer this as part of their discipleship |

| LENT COURSE : There will be a Lent course held in St. Leonard ’s Chapel on Tuesday evenings at 7.30 p.m. beginning on the 23rd February and continuing each week throughout Lent until 23rd March. The theme is ‘Seeking and Finding God’ each session will end with Compline. For more details please contact Julie Humphries. |
| MOTHERING SUNDAY Next Sunday’s service will be a combined 10.00 o’clock service for both the 9.30 and the 10.45 congregations. Some of our young people will be taking part in the service and have been rehearsing for the past few weeks – please do support them. In addition after the service the MU will be selling cakes and pastries to raise money ‘to make a mother happy in Africa ’. The proceeds of the cake sales will buy much needed mosquito nets for mothers in Africa . One million people still die from malaria every year. Of these 90% are in Africa and 70% of these are children under five. Sleeping under a mosquito net, which cost just £9.00, would halve the number of deaths. We hope to raise enough money to send 20 nets. Please do try to stay after the service and support the MU with this. |
