BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY – 26th September With your pews sheet today comes an invitation card for you to give to a friend, neighbour or colleague with an offer to accompany them to a service that day. Try to think of someone for whom church was once an important part of their lives and who may only be waiting for an invitation back.
TRAIDCRAFT Your support is greatly appreciated, every purchase goes directly to Traidcraft to HELP MAKE POVERTY HISTORY! St. Leonard’s is a Traidcraft church, every time you have a cup of tea & coffee in the tapestry room you help Traidcraft! On days Traidcraft isn’t on sale in the Tapestry Room, or if you wish to place an order from the catalogue, or if you have any Traidcraft query please see Enid 01527 524973 or Margaret & David. Help change people’s lives in many poverty stricken countries of the world! Many thanks, Enid Mullis, David & Margaret Lloyd.

NON-PERISHABLE GOODS As part of our harvest giving this year we have been approached by New Start, which is an organisation that provides food locally for those in crisis. In the current economic climate they are experiencing an unprecedented demand on their food cupboard and have asked if it would be possible for us to donate non-perishable goods to this very worthy cause. A box is available at the back of church for anyone wishing to make a donation to this and will remain in church up until and including our harvest services. Thanking you in advance for St. Leonard ’s generosity.

WE NEED A KING! St. Leonard’s will be putting on a nativity play on the 12th of December during the morning service (which is going to be a joint 9.30 and 10.45 congregations at 10am) – this is going to involve both adults and children. We have had lots of willing volunteers but we are still short of a king. The king needs to be able to sing a solo from the carol ‘We three kings from Orient are.’ He also needs to attend rehearsals and be prepared to learn a few lines – nothing too heavy. If you are interested please could you let either Julie Humphries, Enid Mullis or John Crumpton know.
