Blessing |
The Lord bless you, and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.

Sickness |
Watch now, dear Lord,
With those who watch or weep tonight,
And give your angels charge over those who sleep.
Tend your sick ones, O Lord Christ,
Rest your weary ones, bless your dying ones,
Soothe your suffering ones,
Pity your afflicted ones, shield your joyous ones,
And all for your love’s sake.
And may the God of hope fill us
With all joy and peace in believing,
That we may abound in hope
In the power of the Holy Spirit. |

Nursing |
Dearest Lord, may I see You today
and every day in the person of Your sick,
and, while nursing them, minister unto You.
Though You hide Yourself behind the unattractive disguise
of the irritable, the exacting, the unreasonable,
may I still recognise You, and say,
‘Jesus, my patient, how sweet it is to serve You.’

Comfort |
Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. |
