The annual Snowdrop Weekend will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 18-19 February at St Leonard’s beautiful old country church on Beoley Hill.
This annual event has developed a tremendous following and is complemented by an opportunity to see displays of the history of the 900 year old church, its treasures and the famous tombs of the Sheldon family, once substantial local landowners.
St. Leonard’s is picturesque at any time of year and in February is a particular joy to behold. This has become a very popular tradition in the church's calendar and the luckiest visitors, who are quick off the mark, can even buy some snowdrop plants for their own gardens.
Inside you will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of this 12th Century old church and see some its treasures, including the impressive tombs of the famous Sheldon family who owned much of the surrounding land.
