| Our final tower was St. Michael’s Stanton Harcourt (6, 11cwt in F) where the bells seemed to turn quite slowly. Here was another large ringing chamber, decorated with balloons following a local ringer’s recent birthday. As with the other towers, we kept our ringing within our abilities and this lead to some more accurate striking. We concluded with a steady fall, then joined the non-ringers in the Harcourt Arms for suitable refreshments at the end of a successful day. |
